Dr. Krishna S. Iyer is one of India's most experienced and respected Pediatric Cardiac Surgeons. He currently serves as the Executive Director of Pediatric and Congenital Heart Surgery at Fortis Escorts Heart Institute, New Delhi.
After completing his medical education and training at AIIMS, New Delhi, Dr. Iyer received advanced pediatric cardiac surgery training in Australia. He subsequently established neonatal cardiac surgery programs and played a key role in developing dedicated pediatric cardiac care services in North India.
With more than 40 years of clinical experience, Dr. Iyer has successfully performed over 14,000 surgeries for congenital heart diseases and has treated patients from India and more than 15 countries worldwide.
He is widely recognized for performing pioneering procedures including rapid two-stage arterial switch operations and double-switch surgeries in India.
